'Sexting' teens don't need behavior class: judge

WASHINGTON (AFP) - - A federal judge in Pennsylvania said that three teen girls who posed semi-nude for pictures distributed via cellular phone could not be forced to attend behavior classes as a prosecutor demanded.

In the temporary restraining order filed Monday, Judge James Munley prevents District Attorney George Skumanick from filing child pornography charges against the girls, who were 13 when the pictures were taken. He said the pictures were not illegal and that there was no reason to prosecute.

The sending of sexually suggestive pictures to portable phones or posting them on blogs, known as "sexting" -- a play on the word "texting" -- is a popular practice among US teens.

Teachers at a Pennsylvania high school alerted the authorities in October after discovering a waist-up image of two girls covered just by a bra, and another image of a girl topless on the portable telephones of several school students.

Skumanik called for the girls to undergo five weeks of behavior courses and take a drug test or face prosecution, according to a letter sent to the teenagers' parents.

Skumanik described the pictures as "provocative," and insisted the teens need to "gain an understanding of how (their) actions were wrong," as well as "what it means to be a girl in today's society."

If they did not meet his demand Skumanik threatened to press child pornography charges, in accordance with Pennsylvania law.

The American Civil Liberties Union sued Skumanik on behalf of the teens, arguing that his threat was unconstitutional because it forced the girls to recognize their guilt for something that was not wrong, and prosecution could have landed the girls on the sex offenders register, tarnishing future job prospects.

The teens "have a constitutional right to avoid the courses ... because the girls' pictures were not illegal," Munley wrote.

According to a survey by a US family planning organization, published in December, 20 percent of American teenagers said they had participated in sexting.

Hardware

Like the iPhone, it can be used in either a vertical or horizontal orientation, but the top slides open to reveal a physical keyboard when the phone is used horizontally. As a result, horizontally is the only way to type anything. Never having used a Blackberry or similar, I’m not used to typing on a keyboard like this. I personally find the iPhone’s software keyboard easier to use but that’s just due to experience and familiarity; plenty of Blackberry users disagree. The physical buttons for the phone and home screen take a little getting used to as well; I keep looking on-screen for these controls.

There’s a design on the back instead of the Google logo seen on the T-Mobile models, and of course there’s no T-Mobile branding anywhere, either on the hardware or software.

Software

The Android OS does pretty much everything the iPhone does — not as well, but it does them. In the course of my playing around with it, I used the maps and GPS, e-mail, SMS, the Marketplace (the Android version of the iTunes app store), the web browser, and, of course, made some phone calls. The phone is wifi-capable out of the box, so everything but the phone and SMS just worked as soon as I joined the phone to my wireless network. And because the phone isn’t carrier-locked the way most US cell phones are, I was able to just pop in the AT&T SIM from my iPhone to try out the phone features.

There were two problems with that last bit however: First, the phone is only configured for T-Mobile data service by default and using it on AT&T’s network required manually setting up a new data access service. The second problem is that once this was done, data access worked, but I was restricted to Edge rather than the faster 3G. This apparently has something to do with either AT&T or T-Mobile using non-standard frequencies for 3G service but I’m a bit fuzzy on the details.

E-mail and the web browser worked pretty much the same as they do on the iPhone (unsurprisingly, because the browser is based on Webkit, same as MobileSafari). Setup was a pain though — there’s no way to sync data from my computer, so I had to input all my mail settings by hand. I was really annoyed by the inability to sync my Mac’s address book until I found that I could work around it by syncing Address Book to my Google Apps account and syncing the phone to that. A bit convoluted, but it works, and Google syncs any changes over-the-air just as Mobile Me does for my iPhone.

Overall, this phone is a pretty nice piece of work. What failings it has are all in software, which can be fixed as new Android releases become available, so it’s bound to improve over time. I don’t plan to give up my iPhone so the real value from this phone comes from its being unlocked and therefore usable world-wide. I mentioned just a few months ago that I keep my old unlocked RAZR around as a travel phone, so I can buy a local SIM from anywhere I go outside the US. With wifi, GPS, maps, and everything else in addition to being unlocked, this phone is miles ahead in usefulness as a travel phone. The RAZR has been replaced and is now for sale on Ebay (too bad these phones have almost no resale value).

Woman dead after eating at Geylang Serai food stall

SINGAPORE: The Geylang food poisoning outbreak claimed its first victim on Monday. 57—year—old canteen assistant Aminah Samijo died at 6.50am.

A statement from the Changi General Hospital (CGH) said Mdm Aminah suffered from acute renal failure as the infection had affected her kidneys.

She was hospitalised on Friday at 11.45pm after she became unconscious after eating Indian rojak (salad) at a Geylang Serai market stall.

CGH said she was unresponsive and had breathing difficulties. She had a fever and was diagnosed with severe gastroenteritis.

CGH said Mdm Aminah was treated with antibiotics and put on a ventilator support. She was also given medications for low blood pressure and diarrhoea. Mdm Aminah passed away without regaining consciousnesses.

CGH said it is unable to comment on the cause of her death as it is now under a coroner’s inquiry.

As of Monday, the hospital has treated 77 patients who came down with food poisoning. 16 of them are currently hospitalised at CGH and are in a stable condition. They were admitted for diarrhoea and dehydration and were treated with antibiotics and intravenous infusion.

Meanwhile, a 38—year—old woman miscarried after contracting food poisoning from eating rojak from the same stall. Rosiah Samat lost her two—month old foetus over the weekend.

Her husband had bought the rojak for her on Friday. While eating, the housewife noticed that the gravy tasted slightly off. She fell ill hours later and was sent to KK Hospital that evening.

Madam Rosiah has two other daughters. One is twelve years old, while the other is eight.

Another pregnant woman, Madam Sarina, is now recuperating at KKH after eating the same rojak. Her sister—in—law, Madam Sharifah, said she is four months pregnant.

Madam Sharifah said: "My sister—in—law was admitted to KKH with stomach cramps and she had diarrhoea and she was vomitting. From what I understand, the gynaecologist had to do a thorough medical checkup and he checked whether the baby was ok. The heartbeat is alright. So the baby is pretty safe at this point in time.

"But they are keeping a very close watch on her. She is still totally resting in bed. ... In her ward, there are other women who are also down with the same (condition) — diarrhoea, due to the same stall. She is still very weak."

More than 100 people fell ill after eating from Stall number 302, Rojak Geylang Serai.

The National Environment Agency said investigations are still ongoing.

SINGAPORE: There were flash floods in various parts of Singapore, including Marine Parade and Chai Chee Road, on Sunday.

A video sent in by a Channel NewsAsia viewer shows dark clouds gathering in Tampines. The clouds there looked like a small twister, but dissipated after a while.

The flash floods caused a huge headache for some living in the Upper Paya Lebar area.

Once the rain subsided, many in the area were busy cleaning up inside and outside their houses. Some said the water level reached their ankles during the heavy downpour.

For others — they had to deal with damage to their cars.

One car owner said: "(The water level was) about one metre, and my car was flooded. There’s a short circuit now. I can’t start (my car) and I think a few cars here also have (the same problem)."

奪命惡習1：進食速度過快
　　奪命理由：加重腸胃負擔，導致肥胖。很多辦公室一族的午餐，都是在非常匆忙的狀態下吃完的。進食速度過快，食物未得到充分咀嚼，不利於口中食物和唾液澱粉的初步消化，加重腸胃負擔﹔咀嚼時間過短，迷走神經仍在過度興奮之中，長此以往，容易因食慾亢進而肥胖。

　　見招拆招：盡可能讓牙齒和舌頭動得慢一點，如果真的時間很緊張，那就犧牲一點打牌或者打瞌睡的工夫。
　　
奪命惡習2：不吃早餐
　　奪命理由：嚴重傷胃，使你無法精力充沛地工作，而且還容易「顯老」。德國埃朗根大學研究人員在對7000個男女對象的長期跟蹤後發現，習慣不吃早餐的人佔到了40%，而他們的壽命比其餘 60％的人平均縮短了2.5歲。而另一所大學在一次對80－90歲老年人的研究中發現，他們長壽的共同點之一是：每天吃一頓豐盛的早餐。

　　見招拆招：早餐食物盡量做到可口、開胃﹔有足夠的數量和較好的質量﹔體積小，熱能高﹔制備省時省力。

　　我們知道，不同食物在胃中停留時間的長短是不一樣的，所引起的血糖反應也不相同。在正常情況下干稀混合食物可以在胃中停留4－5個小時，而流質食物由於體積大，剛吃完感覺很飽，但在胃中停留時間很短，其中營養成分來不及充分消化即被排出，上升的血糖水平也很快就低落下來，不能持久。因此，在食物的選擇上一定要注意干稀搭配，葷素兼備。
　　
奪命惡習3：晚餐太豐盛
　　奪命理由：傍晚時血液中胰島素含量為一天中的高峰，胰島素可使血糖轉化成脂肪被凝結在血管壁上和腹壁上，晚餐吃得太豐盛，久而久之，人便肥胖起來。同時，持續時間通常較長的豐盛晚餐，還會破壞人體正常的生物鐘，容易使人患上失眠。

　　對於上班族來說，晚餐幾乎成了一天的正餐。早餐要看「表」，午餐要看「活」，隻有到了晚上才能真正放鬆下來穩坐在餐桌前，美美地大吃一頓。

　　見招拆招：第一，晚餐要早吃。晚餐早吃可大大降低尿路結石病的發病率。第二，晚餐要素吃。晚餐一定要偏素，以富含碳水化合物的食物為主，尤其應多攝入一些新鮮蔬菜，盡量減少過多的蛋白質、脂肪類食物的攝入。第三，晚餐要少量。一般要求晚餐所供給的熱量以不超過全日膳食總熱量的 30％。
　　
奪命惡習4：嗜飲咖啡
　　奪命理由： 1.受孕率就有可能下降50%﹔2.容易患心臟病。咖啡中含有高濃度的咖啡因，可使心臟功能發生改變並可使血管中的膽固醇增高﹔ 3.降低工作效率。

　　美國醫學家研究發現，一個人每天喝5杯或更多咖啡，其患心臟病的幾率比不喝者高兩倍，且嗜咖啡年限越長，飲量越多，患心臟病的可能性越大。通過對858位45－69歲首次患心肌梗死的人和同樣人數從未患過心肌梗死的人的調查証明，每天喝 5杯以上咖啡者患病的危險增加了70％。

奪命惡習5：過量攝入酒類飲料
　　奪命理由：大量或經常飲酒，會使肝臟發生酒精中毒而致發炎、腫大，影響生殖、泌尿系統。

　　見招拆招：要喝就得先學會怎麼喝——
　　最佳品種酒有白酒、啤酒、果酒之分，從健康角度看，當以果酒之一的紅葡萄酒為優。法國人少患心臟病即得益於此。據研究人員介紹，常飲紅葡萄酒患心臟病的幾率會降低一半。

　　最佳時間每天下午兩點以後飲酒較安全。因為上午幾個小時，胃中分解酒精的霉-酒精脫氫霉濃度低，飲用等量的酒，較下午更易吸收，使血液中的酒精濃度升高。對肝、腦等器官造成較大傷害。此外，空腹、睡前、感冒或情緒激動時也不宜飲酒，尤其是白酒，以免心血管受害。

　　最佳飲量一個體重60公斤的人每天允許攝入的酒精量應限制在 60克以下。低於60公斤體重者應相應減少，最好掌握在 45克左右。換算成各種成品酒應為：60度白酒 50克、啤酒1公斤、威士忌250毫升。紅葡萄酒雖有益健康，但也不可飲用過量，以每天2至3杯為佳。

　　最佳佐菜從酒精的代謝規律看，當推高蛋白和含維生素多的食物。如新鮮蔬菜、鮮魚、瘦肉、豆類、蛋類等。注意，切忌用鹹魚、香腸、臘肉下酒，因為此類熏臘食品含有大量色素與亞硝胺，與酒精發生反應，不僅傷肝，而且損害口腔與食道黏膜，甚至誘發癌症。
　　
奪命惡習6：餐後吸煙
　　奪命理由：使煙中的有害物質更易進入人體。飯後吸一支煙，中毒量大於平時吸十支煙的總和。因為人在吃飯以後，胃腸蠕動加強，血液循環加快，這時人體吸收煙霧的能力進入「最佳狀態」，煙中的有毒物質比平時更容易進入人體，從而更加重了對人體健康的損害程度。

奪命惡習7：保溫杯泡茶
　　奪命理由：破壞維生素，大量滲出鞣酸和茶鹼。茶葉中含有大量的鞣酸、茶鹼、茶香油和多種維生素，用 80℃ 左右的水沖泡比較適宜，如果用保溫杯長時間把茶葉浸泡在高溫的水中，就如同用微水煎煮一樣，會使茶葉中的維生素全遭破壞，茶香油大量揮發，鞣酸、茶鹼大量滲出。這樣不僅降低了茶葉的營養價值，減少了茶香，還使有害物質增多。

after a long break

it was a whole week of break and i was suppose to make use of my time to study. but guess i was wasting alot of time going out watching drama clubbing mahjonging sleeping and slacking.
anyway today was my first day of school after such a long break, feel kind of sucky and tired. the biz stats lecture was funz today, did manage to learn and master some formula.
anyway i have only 2 lesson this week, and thur i am gonna collect my 22 inch samsung LCD tv. so happy, gonna replace my old philips LCD. anyway that LCD i am gonna give it to my sister la cos she still using CRT de. while i am using the new samsung LCD.
hmm i gotta 3 test and 1 assignment due date coming soon and i gonna start mugging manz. cannot slack anymore. hmm i am going to temple to pray this thur for exam luck la.

Haha... heading to ZOUK for party on valentine day. hmm had loads of funz and i would say it was the best clubbing session i ever had. Noboday was dead drunk, but most of them was high and tired. R & B was the theme for the night for phuture and we dance hard and drink even harder. had different kind of drink, from long island tea to vodka lime to E33 to heiniken. omg all those shouting from of my fave song made me lose my voice. ya know huh, when u are high ur body and soul will just move with the music. we party from 11.30 to 4pm then had supper cum breakfast at the prata house. then we headed home afterward, man i can about alot of stuff when i am high sia. from talking dirty to clumsy stuff. ooppzz.
anyway school start on tue and it back to studies. gotta to work my ass off, tests and assignment dateline are approaching soon.

It been a while since i have updated syuff about my life. Anyway it been kind of stress and tired this week. Had been mugging and doing my assignment (LAW). And to be frank I do hate law. And there are loads of test coming up in the month of march and end of feb. STRESS AH. Erm it been awhile since i swim and jog, and i swear that next week i am gonna do it. 1 day swim 1 day jog.
Hmm gonna head down to club this saturday, either zouk or power house. But i would fancy zouk.
Anyway i will be heading down to bishan park later for prawning and i dont like eating the prawn there but i do enjoy the process and ambience. VERY LAYBACK.

It's the cover that matters most, says SI group editor Terry McDonell, but each model _ 19 for this issue _ gets an equal shot at the cover.

"The cover has to reflect the athleticism and sexiness of the culture. This photo is modern, her hair and swimsuit look natural. You see her freckles. Her body is amazing and she looks intelligent," McDonell said.

It's also purposeful, he noted, that the models have healthy, sometimes curvy, figures. "A skinny waif won't work here."

McDonell, along with Swimsuit editor Diane Smith and SI creative director Steve Hoffman, sifted through 90,000 photos this year. "I want to be at the front of the store, not the back."

Israeli-born Refaeli, long linked romantically with actor Leonardo DiCaprio, told The Associated Press that she had the feeling that this particular shot of her in the water on Canouan Island in the Grenadines was her shot to be on the front.

"This is the one I felt the most comfortable with," said Refaeli, who twice before was featured on the inside pages of the magazine. "You have the beach, blue water and a body. That's it. I liked that the top of the suit was on."

You can be sexy without revealing too much skin, said veteran supermodel Cheryl Tiegs, who first appeared on the Swimsuit issue cover in 1970 _ and then again in 1975 and 1983.

That shot happened at the end of a full day shooting in Hawaii, and she was cold. Someone gave her long-sleeve top to warm her up and when the photographer asked her to take it off, Tiegs refused _ and she wouldn't take off her sunglasses either, she recalled. That photo, she said, really captured a moment, though.

"I remember walking by the newsstand and seeing I was on the cover and picking up a copy or two. That was the celebration then. ... But I'm still signing covers for fans," Tiegs said.

SI's swimsuit issue began in 1964, when February marked the low point of the sports seasons. After putting safe-driving tips and dog shows on the cover, SI decided to put an attractive female on the cover and call it a "skin-diving story," recalls Smith.

There's a balance between wholesome and sexy the editors are always straddling, without ever being sleazy, Hoffman said.

The magazine spends an average of three days shooting each model, each with an average wake-up call of 4:30 a.m. because the light is best at dawn, and have about 10,000 bathing suits to choose from.

And even with the outfits so small, SI spends an average of $2,000 in overweight baggage fees per location.

"The logistics are horrifying ... but the Swimsuit issue is probably the healthiest of all the Sports Illustrated franchises, and it's good to be with things that work, especially these days," said McDonell.

Two sentenced to death over China milk scandal

BEIJING (AFP) - - A Chinese court on Thursday sentenced two men to death and gave stiff jail terms to 10 others over a milk scandal that led to widespread poisoning of babies in China and dairy recalls around the world.

The former head of the dairy firm at the heart of the scandal, Tian Wenhua, a 66-year-old woman accused of initially covering it up, was among three people jailed for life, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

One other person was given a suspended death penalty, a sentence that routinely gets commuted to life in jail, while six were imprisoned for terms ranging from five to 15 years.

In all, 21 people have gone on trial in recent weeks for their involvement in making or selling the contaminated milk that last year killed at least six babies and left 294,000 others ill with kidney and urinary tract problems.

The government immediately sought to portray the verdicts as proof of its efforts to ensure China's food was safe, and that justice had been served, but victims' relatives accused authorities of holding show trials.

"They got the penalty they deserved, but I feel sorry about this whole affair," Liu Donglin, the father of a sickened baby, told AFP by phone from outside the court in northern China where the verdicts were delivered.

"I think they are scapegoats. The milk producers' association and the people in charge of checking the milk should also be punished."

The two men given the death penalty were found guilty of endangering public security by adding the industrial chemical melamine into the milk and then selling it on to middle men.

The melamine, normally used to make plastics, was added into watered-down milk to give it the appearance of higher protein content.

Sanlu Group, formerly headed by Tian, was the first and biggest dairy producer found to have sold dairy products laced with melamine.

In all, 22 firms were found to have sold tainted milk.

After the verdicts were announced, the government said it was making great efforts to improve not only its milk industry, but all its food products, following numerous safety scandals in recent years.

"The Chinese government authorities have been paying great attention to food safety and product quality," foreign ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu told reporters.

"China is strictly handling the Sanlu case by law. After the case broke out, the Chinese government strengthened rules and regulations and took a lot of other measures to strengthen regulations and monitor food safety."

Aside from killing and sickening babies in China, the scandal led to contaminated Chinese dairy products being pulled off shelves around the world.

It was another major blow to the " Made-in-China " reputation that has suffered in recent years amid safety scandals over a wide range of exports, from toys to pet food and dumplings.

In its efforts to ease concerns domestically, the government last month ordered the 22 Chinese dairy firms to pay 160 million dollars in compensation to the families of babies that died or fell ill.

However the families and their lawyers have criticised the sum as woefully inadequate, with some parents of sick children not being given any money at all and others receiving just 300 dollars.

Over 200 families last week filed a suit with the Supreme Court, seeking more compensation.

"They haven't given me any compensation. They haven't even recognised that my child died because of melamine," said Chang Lin, a farmer from Chongqing in southwest China whose 18-month-old son died in August, told AFP this week.

Police suspects that death of Japanese ex-pornography actress Ai Iijima is caused by over-consumption of sleeping pills, but friends believed she was doing well before her death and had no reason for suicide. They suspect she was murdered.

Ten days before her death, Iijima informed her artiste managing company that she has opened a new company. Veteran actress Utsumi Midori, Iijima's close friend says, "Could it be murder? I met her a few days ago at a restaurant. She was happily telling me that she has formed her own company and is finally able to develop a new career. I can never forget the smile on her face that day," she said.

Iijima has been updating the public of her life on her blog until Dec 5. Since she stopped blogging, fans have been leaving comments expressing their worries. After news of her death broke out, her blog hits increased rapidly. There were more than 2700 messages as at 0000hrs Dec 25; on Dec 26, there were more than 9000 messages. Her blog has also become a space for mourning.

Iijima's blog do not gloss over her personal life and health problems. In Feb 2008, she posted an entry titled "I am sick"; informing the public of her mental health deterioration and that she will be hospitalized for treatment. Besides that, she also revealed on her blog that she had tinnitus and gastric problems.

According to the autopsy results, Iijima had been dead for almost a week before her body was found lying sideways on her bed. No will was found at the scene, but there were sleeping pills and cold tablets. It is speculated that Iijima had consumed large quantity of sleeping pills before her death. These pills are known to obstruct one's respiratory system.

Forensic doctors were unable to ascertain reason of death because her body was highly decomposed, but police hopes to find leads to Iijima's death through the pills and quantity taken.

Indonesia's former First Lady, Dewi Sukarno (born Nemoto Naoko), friend of Iijima, wrote on her own blog on Christmas Day, revealing leads that Iijima had been receiving threats.

In a blog post entitled "Iijima's death", Sukarno wrote: "I'm in deep remorse. I should have went over to be with her and listened to her", "someone took videos and photos of her", "she was threatened by the person who took those photos", "she was living in fear", "she must have resigned from showbiz because she is afraid of something or someone", and "I am not sure if this incident has anything to do with her sudden death".

Sukarno is upset that she was not with Iijima, despite knowing that the latter had no one else to confide in regarding the issue. Sukarno also wrote: "I just feel like crying; I just want to hug her in my arms", "Though she was wrong, I still find her pitiful. I hate those who pushed her limits; they are inhumane. I will never forgive them. Those plotting against her, show your true self!"

According to Japan media reports say, autopsy results reveal that ex-pornography actress Ai Iijima has been dead for over a week before she was found in her home bathroom in Tokyo on Wednesday afternoon by a colleague.

As Iijima's body had decayed, autopsy results were unable to pin down the reason of her death. The police are investigating her death along the lines of her known illnesses, but they do not rule out suicide. Police says there are no signs of fights at the scene of her death and has therefore ruled out murder. The case is also temporarily classified as suicide.

Iijima resigned from entertainment business in 2007, quoting health issues as the reason. She had been in touch with her artiste managing company until five days ago. A female colleague on close terms with Iijima got worried when there had been no news of the latter. She requested for Iijima's condominium security guard to let her into the unit where she found her lying motionless in the bathroom.

Iijima had revealed on her blog several times after quitting showbiz that she has found new jobs. However, an investment plan in a retail store with a friend did not work out eventually. Halloween Party 2008

It's my very first Halloween party, and I headed to Zouk to celebrate. I wish to dress up for this event but got no time to spare to look for my costume. At Zouk I saw lots of different kind of costume, ranging from dracula, joker, surgeon, devil, mummy, chinese vampire, police, bunny girl, nurse and alot more. Oh I saw a man dress as banana too, so damn cute.
I have got friends who dress up as nurse, cheerleader, bunny girl, devil and dracula. All those named above didn't get the chance to go into Zouk. SO SIANZ LA. Cause Zouk is really damn packed, and I mean crowded. Super long queue with no ending. Hey Miss Nurse don't be sad we will come back again in year 2009 this time we go queue earlier. ;)
In the end went The Arena, cause the music is R & B. Changed for a jug of orange vodka and I only drank a little. Just to comment on the music of The Arena, it so damn loud can. Almost got deaf, I woke up in the morning with ringing in my ears.
I wasn't even high that night, maybe I got use to drinking alochol to get myself into the partying mood. PLUS THE MUSIC WASN'T THAT NICE. :X

LONDON (AFP) - - Release of one of the most eagerly anticipated games in the history of the Sony PlayStation has been delayed because of concerns that some of the background music may offend Muslims, the game's developers said Monday.

LittleBigPlanet, in which gamers can customise the rag-doll protagonist Sackboy and allow it to roam through an interactive world filled with different challenges, had been hailed by video games website IGN as "nothing short of astounding" and given a review rating of 9.5 out of 10.

But its release date has been put back after one of its background music tracks, a song by Mali-born artist Toumani Diabate, was found to have included expressions from the Koran, which could be interpreted as an offence to Muslims.

"We're sure that most of you have heard by now that one of the background music tracks that was licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Koran," a statement on the game's website read.

"We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence this may have caused.

"We will begin shipping LittleBigPlanet to retail in North America the week of October 27," as opposed to its original release date of October 21.

According to a separate statement on the website of Media Molecule, the British-based developers of LittleBigPlanet, they were "shell-shocked and gutted" by the delay to the game's release.

"We learnt... that there is a lyric in one of the licensed tracks which some people may find offensive, and which slipped through the usual screening processes," the statement read.

"Obviously MM and Sony together took this very seriously. LBP should be enjoyable by all."

A post on a Sony public Internet forum alerted developers to the issue, noting that Diabate's "Tapha Niang" included two expressions from the Koran that could cause offence to Muslims.

The forum user, who identified himself only as "yasser", said that "Muslims consider the mixing of music and words from our Holy Quran deeply offending (sic)," in a post on Thursday.

The delayed release was welcomed by some Muslim commentators, with Manzoor Moghal of the Muslim Forum think-tank telling the BBC that the game's developers should be praised for "taking decisive action by withdrawing these games immediately, and releasing a version that is not offensive to Muslims."

Sony was forced to apologise in June 2007 when it emerged that one of its video games, "Resistance: Fall of Man", featured a violent shootout inside a building that resembled an Anglican cathedral in Manchester, northern England.

The news was condemned by Anglican leaders, who demanded that the game be removed from store shelves, a request Sony refused.

In 2005, the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, deemed blasphemous in the Islamic world, in a Danish newspaper sparked outrage and violent protests in several countries.

The caricatures were then reprinted earlier this year by several other Danish newspapers.

Wow... amazingly it took me awhile to notice that the office space i was sitting at has a great view of the whole CBD area. Places like Orchard, City hall, Somerset, Singapore Flyer and etc was within the grasp of my hand. Wish I could show you guys the photo la, but I was too busy with my work too. Therefore I didn't have the chance to bring it to image to show on my blog. What I wish is to see the night view from the place, my office is located on the 39 floor, it is consider to be quite high as the highest level is 45. One word, MAGNIFICENT view. Think next time I shall stay to admire the night scene, woo I just love the view from above. It let me feel as though I am flying freely in the sky. Think most of the time I was staring out the window wishing that I was elsewhere not in Singapore enjoying myself. The more I see make me have the urge of travelling, I wanna get out of Singapore. I want a new and better life. In my whole life I always aim to travel the whole world and have a look beyond the low walls of Singapore. Learning cultures of other countries and enjoy life. But I think this is just a dream loz, but I really wish I could fulfill my wish someday. :)

It a game more on negotiation and earning big bucks when the deal do work out. Throughout the game u can hear voice hear and there negotiating for the best price. Normally I like to undercut the deal by offering just $1 million, that a very 'smelly' deal. Cause $1 million is the minimum offer for the deal. For those who wish to try out the game, it is available at all Mind Cafe outlet. As for the outcome of the game, i earn bout $37 million and I am in second position. We were playing Foosball before our 5.30 movie. A low cost no money source of entertainment in The Cathay. Look at their excited faces, made me wanna take some snap shot. As usual i am not feature in the photo, cause i am the photographer mah. But i am an unpaid freelance photographer. The whole shop was like fill up with out laughter and noise. Cause normally The Cathay quite quiet de, because of us huh it become damn happening loz.

The movie we watch was The House Bunny. It is featuring a playboy mansion bunny girl who eventually become a House Mummy in a hostel. Basically this whole movie is filled with babes, bimbos and hotties. Oh there is a girl in the movie who wear a metal "bra" who look like amazon girl, in the end she turn up damn hot la. From then on the whole movie I would look forward for her appearance lo.

I went to wisma starbucks two day in a row, yeah just to finish up my FPC. Drank chocolate chip frappacino yesterday, and order something special today. It was the mango passionfruit frappacino, yeah yeah it taste good. scary wo, exam start in around 10 days time.

despite all the preparation i had made, but i feel that it always insufficent. especially my FSB, keep forgetting what i study. i must dedicate my next 10 days to study outside loz. i am being so unproductive at home, watching drama, facebook, sleeping, and etc. hmm maybe could go town or somewhere quite and nice to study. really need an extra motivation loz, and a little prayer. *say a little prayer before i sleep everynight*

coca, friend b'dae & k-box session

It a full day of event for me, first meeting friend at COCA restaurant for a thai steamboat at international building. Hmm just collected my payroll and I am already starting to splurge on food again. Hey but this steamboat is worth every single bit of money to try it. They gotta a few stuff there which caught the attention of my mouth. One of them is the fish glue, shrimp dumpling (oh i just love dumpling), cockles, chicken mushroom balls, fishballs and their chicken rice. They gotta more la, but i kind of lazy to name them all. Picture below will show la. suppose to meet them at 1 but i reach round 1:30. Wah just nice la, i reach everything is already ordered and the soup is ready. Can prepared to start eating le. Yum yum yum.

Finish eating around 4pm, still early to head down to holland v (essential brews) for my friend birthday celebration. So decided to shop around for awhile (also for my food to digest la, damn bloated). hmm so i head down to left foot to purchase my targeted polo tee (a black adidas polo tee with a old school logo)

took bus 106 at orchard and reached holland v at bout 6pm, still too early so just bump around loz. waiting for the others and 'main actress' to arrived.

party started at bout 6:30, the side dishes was proudly sponser by the organiser. and we ordered a main course at our own cost. can you believe it i am eating again, cos i damn hungry la. (i ordered a garlic prawn pasta) --- i finished it oki, with some side dishes. think my mouth hasnt stop eating since noon loz. wah think i gonna grow fat soon. lolz.

hmm somemore gotta cake (chocolate ice cream chip cake) and i ate two pieces, and i swear that the cake taste nice. --- that why i took my 2nd serving.

had some after dinner program, i suggested go sing K at cineleisure (K-BOX). hmm recently i got the urge to go singing la. (sang alot of songs: here a few titles i sang -- nan ren nu ren, zhui jing, shi jie wei yi de ni, ni na mo ai ta, bei ji xing de yan lei, tong hua, ruo mi you yi zhu ying tai and many more) think i sung more than 20 songs loz. (guess i just lost my voice, haiz)

just love singing la, hmmm we sang a combination of chinese and english songs. but i sang mostly chinese songs, esp jay chou and cao ge. below are the photos taken in the room. enjoy.

movie, pool and dinner with hime

went watching movie with hime today, it was bangkok dangerous. booked ticket for two at 3:35pm, i reached early to collect the ticket. then walk over to P.S to wait for hime. hmm although of the bad rating of the movie, but after watching it i find the movie quite oki loz. there are scene that are touching and gorry too. i find the part where both nicholas cage and charlie young were communicating using sign language. erm like telling him morning and evening in sign language, wah it so damn cute and adorable. another part charlie was telling nicholas her name using sign language too. toking bout the gorry part, was cutting off the hand with a rotary motor and exploding a grenade at the guy torso. can really compare with a plate of spaghatti or u mention "ba chor mee" with lotsa of tomato sauce. lolz. oh forget to mention that the movie come along with some nudity scene loz. aiyo.

after movie was thinking where to go loz, suggesting go to pool or lan or board game. but guess pool was a final choice loz. played a few rounds but see hime like very tired so decided to stop loz. gotta reason de, cos she work morning shift mah then the night before she slept late. but she still walk off with a win from me, not bad leh. POWER.

but the devastating part came crushing on me, at cashier i found that my wallet was lost. OMG. gotta a few stuff i cant afford to loss it. then i was back tracking where could i lost it. after some ponder, there is high chance that i could loss it at the cinema. wah inside my wallet gotta lot of stuff loz, specially my IC. cannot afford to loss it. $300 dollars loz. i have already lost it once loz, that time only pay $100 dollar loz. erm i was praying that it could be found at the cinema, guess you were praying for me as well huh. lolz. but to no avail my wallet was found at the counter. WAH HENG AH. think my wallet must hook to one chain loz, then confirm stick with me even if i drop it. anw gotta thank god and thank you. (",)

went for dinner after that, suppose to eat at food court de. but see the xin wang HK cafe loz. so went ahead with the cafe, order a fried rice with egg and mince meat plus a ice milk tea, and a --- "yang zhi gan lu" --- hime de. didnt really finish de fried rice loz, dunno leh maybe exam stress la. making me eat lesser nowaday. haiz. can someone cheer me up and bless me? although after our meal, we still sat in the cafe for some chatting, still try out ur DS pet it so funz la. (bathing, feeding and petting it) hmm left the cafe ard 8:00pm. walk to the mrt station and hime went back home loz, and i am heading toward clark quay to meet my buddies.

suppose was to drink beer at brewwerks de, but they end up at manhantten fish market loz. EAT AGAIN, wah bloated la. but i did snack a little. finish a bowl of clam chowder, mussels, fries, prawn, butter rice and fish. finally a killer glass of ice lemon tea, man u should have seen the glass loz. it BIG loz. but i manage to finish it, hee hee. result is a bloated stomach. then we walk from the central to city hall finally cab home loz. think tonight take a rest 1st. will start revision tomoro morning. if i con't this pace i will confirm fall sick de.
